Minutes from the first Bradford Dome Meeting

The first meeting of the Bradford Dome Committee was held on Thursday Nov 29 2007 at 7:30 pm at 758 Simcoe Road ( Bradford Alliance Church Building )
The meeting was divided into 3 parts:
A) Informational Presentation by Hernan Burgos ( Chair) :
1) Critical partnership needed between the Town, Bradford Minor Soccer and Volunteers.
2) Purpose of the committee
3) Proposed Size, Quotes, Details, Locations, Funding Etc.
4) Web Site www.BradfordDome.com will serve as an informational Portal for the committee
5) Each committee member will have their own email address
B) 15 Minutes – Question Period: attendees voiced their concern about the need to build an Indoor facility that could be used by our present Youth generation. Location was of concern , they would like to see a central location accessible by all.
C) The creation of 2 Sub Committees:
1) Finance Committee: This group will be mostly involved in fund raising and creating the business plan to be ready by the end of March 2008.

2) Technical Committee: This Group will be responsible for all technical aspects of the project such as : Size, Turf, Nets, Design, etc.

Secretary: Juan Acevedo email juan.acevedo@bradforddome.com
The 2 Sub Committees met at this time to select their corresponding Chair, Co-Chair and Secretary. January 18 2008 was selected as the next meeting date for both of the committees. Communication between all members will be started as soon as their emails are set up. In the mean time each member will start collecting related information to bring to the January meeting.
Notes: a number of subcommittee members were not able to attend this first meeting, they sent emails with regrets, and will be attending the January meeting.
